You created me and from your seed

Nurturing me through infancy, giving me love

Guiding me towards the path of good
holding my hand gently

You showed me a life
that may not have been for everyone
But, I did grow
You taught me how to find strength
and the courage to be me
And I did grow
You had a great hand in the way I did grow
And all that you taught me
The way you have always let me be myself, let me grow
I have always thanked you, thought it may not always been vocal
I do not for one minute ever doubt the fact that you knew
and that let me grow
