A Little Candle
by Clarence Bertram Dennison
It takes no special talent,
Makes no difference who you are,
To light a little candle
That outshines the brightest star.
It doesn't call for sacrifice
To provide a little light
That might be the ray of hope
For some one thru the night.
So light up your little candle,
No matter how small the flame,
You might just get the feeling
That even you are not the same.

Now or Never
by Amy C. Ellis
Don't wait with longing for the day
When better times might come your way.
Discard the fears that may depress:
Live now and garner happiness.
It's such a waste to dwell on gloom,
Though you have problems, find the room
For loving when the path is rough:
For laughter when the going's tough.
To fully live means you must face
Whatever comes with humble grace.
And if you mourn, turn it to praise.
How much to do, how few the days!

Good Deeds
by Loise Pinkerton Fritz
A cup of cool water...
If this cheers the day
For some friend or stranger
We meet on life's way.
Then offer it gladly:
Seek no recompense:
Good deeds weigh no measure
In dollars and cents.

One
One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true.
One life can make the difference,
You see it's up to "You"
