Box of Dreams

If you open my box of dreams,
You are sure to find,
Visions of you and me,
Hidden in my mind.

You'd see a half moon on its side,
Way up millions of miles,
It's brightness and it's beauty,
Reminds me of your smiles.

Around the moon you'd see the stars,
Twinkling in the skies,
As I look at them in awe,
I think of your sparkling eyes.

You'd see a colorful rainbow,
That makes the whole world warm,
Just like you it brightens my day,
After a thunderstorm.

The breeze floats against me,
And whips across the mist,
It brushes against my lips,
And reminds me of your kiss.

The rain that falls down on me,
Reminds me of those nights,
When my tears fell just like that,
Because you wouldn't hold me tight.

You'd see all the dark cloud,
Pass throughout the day,
Just like you they come and go,
And are now so far away.

But I guess it doesn't matter,
Or at least that's how it seems,
Cause it's not real life,
It's just a box of dreams.

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is a strange thing....
we find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives...
things we don't even share with our families who raised us...
But what is a friend? A confidant? A lover? A fellow email junkie?

A shoulder to cry on? an ear to listen? a heart to feel?...
A friend is all these things...and more.
No matter where we met,....I call you friend.
A word so small...yet so large in feeling...a word filled with emotion.
It is true great things come in small packages.

Once the package of friendship has been opened,
it can never be closed...
it is a constant book always written...waiting to be read...and enjoyed.

We may have our disagreements...we may argue...
we may concern one another...
friendship is a unique bond that lasts through it all....
A part of me is put into my friends...
some it is my humor...some it is my listening ear...
some it is real life experiences...some it is my romanticism...
but with all, it is friendship.
Friendships forged are a construction stronger than steel
built as a foundation....necessary for life...and necessary for love.

Always Friends

I accept you in confidence,
I listen and admire your wisdom.
We are one when we are together,
You and I will always be friends.

When you are angry,
I am there to sooth your aggression.
When you are sad,
I am there to cheer you up.

We understand each others thoughts,
Words with us aren’t needed.
We have a trust that is very rare,
You and I will always be friends.

What we enjoy doing together comes natural,
We accept life and move ahead.

CYBER FRIENDSHIP

I had some free time, so what did I do?
I checked the computer to see if I'd heard from you.

I used to walk out to a box to retrieve mail
But I'd rather get it instantly than wait on the snail...

Checking my email is always fun
I usually get a joke or greeting from someone.

I feel so blessed because on the other end
I know I've connected with a friend.

When I've had a hard day and need to share
Here I can find a friend who will listen and care.

And to this friend I hope I've let them know
That I am always there for them also.

Isn't it a strange kind of bond we form?
It isn't exactly like the "norm"

But where is it written, face to face we have to be
For you to be a very good friend to me?

That little joke, or note, or even just a simple "Hi"
Could be like a ray of sunshine from the sky.

So my online-pals, this is dedicated to you
For all the smiles you have made anew.

May our friendship continue to grow
and the warmth we feel continue to flow.
